Why do I engineer music? Because music should not be simplified into just words over instruments. It is an aspect of one's life that is portrayed through their emotional release. This release comes out in the form of harmonies, melodies, and rhythm. In order for the fans to understand your emotions and your story, it has to sound clean and clear. Kool-Nerd Productions is a company that strives to bring clarity to your message, emotions, and life stories.

Hi! I'm Cory, an audio engineer and producer from Cleveland, Ohio who is currently residing in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I produce beats as well as mix, master, and record audio. ENGINEERING & STUDIO RATES: Prices
• Recording: $25 per hour• Mixing: $50 per song• Mastering: $50 per songPolicies, Options, & Info
•Work is done on a the basis of an independent contractor. This means payment is to be received first before any service or product can be given. All sales are final. Once I receive your files I will started working and any fees paid will not be refunded for any reason.•Do not send me money via PayPal. Either order from the site or request an invoice.• Using top notch software from companies such as Waves, Izotope, Celemony, Antares, Sonnox, Sonalkis, Focusrite, and more, to make sure your project is perfect and radio ready!• Revisions at NO EXTRA COST if requested within 48 hours of receiving file! After 48 hours the file is finalized and you will have to pay full price for any new revisions.• Mixed and Mastered files given in any format(s) needed at NO EXTRA COST!• Mixing and mastering processes can take anywhere from 12 to 120 hours depending on the demand of the song and my current workload. If multiple songs are in service, this time will vary. If you want to guarantee my services within a specific time frame, add the "Speedy Service" ($15) to your cart and contact me using the "EMAIL" link. It should be noted that the Speedy Service has to be applied to each individual song and not a collection of songs.•I will work with what I am given. If you give me low quality music, I can't make it high quality. Try to record on high quality gear or contact me for studio time!• Mixing different versions of the same song (edited version, performance version, explicit version, etc.) will be charged as half-priced mixes ($25). Each additional mix is charged separately. I will use the same master so there is no additional charge for mastering.•Visit the "DROPBOX" page to learn how to send me files quickly, easily, and correctly. •Looking for a custom beat that is tailored to your style? Most producers won't make custom beats unless you're buying exclusive rights, but I believe in flexibility and creating options for artists. Contact me! $75 for a basic lease and $100 for a pro-lease. Acquiring a custom beat is on a "contract-for-hire" basis, meaning 50% of payment is due up front as a non-refundable deposit.Exclusive Rights

Why Non-Exclusive Rights? Non-Exclusive Rights are used as a way to grant artist the ability to work their way to an Exclusive Rights standing. Most artists like a payment plan of some kind and this is it! With this, artists can have the chosen instrumental off the market while they pay their monthly fee until they reach the negotiated Exclusive Rights price. At that point the contract changes from a lease with Non-Exclusive Rights to Exclusive Rights. In these cases, there is no distribution limit! The lease becomes a "loose lease" as long as monthly payments are on time.
This can also be used to keep a beat off the market while an artist writes a song. This allows the artist to record the song, release the song and be the only artist working with that instrumental at that time. This is good for artists who don't mind other artists on their instrumentals after they have released their version of the song first. Keep in mind that the monthly payment will be added into the price of the leased beat for a situation like this.

If you use any DAW's on the list, then make a .ZIP file out of your project folder (not just the project file, but the whole folder including audio files) and send it to me. If your using GarageBand, the project file is all that is available because the audio files are self-contained, but you still need to ZIP it or else it will not open. Reason users should set the "Song Self-Contain Settings" before sending.All other DAW users should try finding an "export all tracks" option or bounce each track out manually. Export each track from the start of the song so that the song lines up automatically when I import the files. You can also reference your DAW's owner's manual on how to convert your project to an AAF or OMF file.
